Charilaos home was spacious and the pool area was beautiful with a wonderful view to the water. You had everything you needed from the very well stocked kitchen to the downstairs gym. The grounds were impeccable with lots of seating for a large group. The home is very centrally located close to the beach, restaurants and coffee shops. Charilaos was kind enough to call a friend's restuarant up the street and ask them to stay open late as our ferry from Santorini had been delayed and travel from the airport put us to the home at 11pm. His familiarity with Crete and the Stalos/Chania area is a big plus for motorscooter, ATV, car rentals, restaurants, beaches, etc. Our only regret is that we did not have more time on this lovely, but very large island. We will be back and will definitely be staying in Charilaos's lovely home again!

There is a beautiful sandy, calm beach within walking distance, along with restaurants, markets, beach bars. The kids enjoyed swimming in the large pool and even woke up early on the day of our departure to take a quick dip.

Without a doubt, Charilaos is the best host we have come across. Upon arrival he had the refrigerator already very well stocked for us (beer, wine, soda, cereal, jams, coffee, greek delights like feta cheese, tzatziki, olives!). I probably texted him once or twice daily for restaurant/beach recommendations (he also has these nicely listed in the villa), information on a boat cruise, food delivery to the home, even where to buy the best raki! Within a few minutes he would have a response for me. We were never disappointed with his recommendations. They were always right on, and we were so appreciative of his insight!

This place won't disappoint! We made many wonderful memories here with our children and friends, and we hope to one day return!

  We had 2 families (children were 1, 4, 10 and 13) stay in the villa for 7 nights and it was perfect (Aug ‘22). Charilaos could not have been a... read more better host, very thoughtful, loads of great suggestions and when we had a couple of very, very, minor issues he sorted immediately, an absolute legend!
The pool really made it - it was lovely and warm (we did not pay extra to get it heated) and the jet pool and little kids area of the pool were perfect. Having the property gated also made us feel super safe.
The villa had all the amenities noted and with a load of kids the washing machine was very useful. And stuff dried instantly on the balcony upstairs. We set the cot up in the hallway upstairs and pulled the blinds down which made it very dark - 1 year old slept very well.
I had to work a bit and the WiFi was fantastic.
In terms of local eating suggestions, we loved Maria’s kitchen, Opa and Gastro (this had a great kids play area) and there was a good mini golf course nearby. The flood and drink is incredible (octopus my favourite).
Iguana beach is well worth visiting and we actually enjoyed it more than our trip to Elafonisi. The restaurants around here are all very good too! The headland makes the water calm and great for little ones.
We used Jacob (host suggestion) for a taxi which was very good and would use a taxi for getting to Chania as buses were packed when we were there (book taxis in advance).

It's in a perfect location,... read more set up above the small resort of Kato Stalos. You can walk to the beach and local shops, cafes and restaurants very easily. There's also a regular bus service to Hania so you can easily visit this beautiful town too, which we did several times during our stay. As for the house, it's very well equipped and has everything you could need and more. Harilaos is a very attentive and helpful host - he made us feel so welcome and comfortable in his wonderful house. As we came early in the season, we asked to have the pool heated. This meant we could enjoy using it every day and we really did! We would definitely recommend heating the pool if you come in April, as we did. All in all, a perfect place to stay. We would love to come back!

We mostly ordered in food from the local Gyros restaurant, and enjoyed two evenings out in nearby Chania and at the beach area closest to Chania, Nea Chora Marina, where there is an excellent selection of restaurants. Our beach recommendation would be Agioi Apostoli, a sheltered beach as it curves around, easy to park and a pleasant walk up to the little church with views both ways down the coast. We hired a pedalo boat on the beach on the other side of the road and a paddle board from this beach, the water is shallow a long way out, so perfect for young children. Charilaos was the perfect host, always quick to respond which we really appreciated when our 3 year old grandson needed a doctor and our eldest daughter needed a Covid test prior to our return journey. He also allowed us to check out later on our final day, which meant we could make the most of our last morning.
We cannot recommend this villa too highly and hope to return one day, thanks Charilaos!

Charilaos gave us a very nice welcome package with drinks & food and was always reachable via (Hidden by Airbnb) when we had any questions. All in all we were very happy with everything and would absolutely recommend the villa to everyone!

Before we left he printed off our PCR and passenger location forms to make our journey home easier. We also took a boat from Chania to Balos Beach, which can’t be missed! Charilaos was so kind and provided a lot of information for us about activities and local restaurants. He also found a place to get covid tests and in general was responsive to all our needs. The house was really spacious for 8 of us, and the swimming pool was fantastic.   Harilao was an AMAZING host and his villa absolutely stunning! We were 5 women traveling for leisure and there was nothing more beautiful than looking right onto the sea from... read more the breakfast table and then take an dip into the spacious, clean pool. The villa is very well-equipped: aircon in every bedroom, coffee machines, BBQ, sun beds, pool noodle etc.... you name it, Harilao has it.
It's only a 5 minute walk to the local beach, beautiful beach hotspots as Balos or Elafonisi are only 1.5 hours away and easy to reach by car. The town Stalos itself is quiet (we travelled off-season, early October) but there are a number of cute small cafés and restaurants closeby. Try the mouthwatering vegan oyster mushroom gyros at small Taverna just down the road! Also, Stalos lies super close to Chania city center (just a 15 min car ride) and there are many big supermarkets on the way.
Harilao himself is extraordinarily friendly, caring and courteous. We staid in contact throughout the whole vacation and whenever we needed help, he replied within only a few minutes. We had a medical incident and he even called a number of doctors for us to get advice.
We had such a nice stay, that we already promised to DEFINITELY visit again. Again: THANK YOU SO MUCH, dear Harilao!
Just one small advice to future guests: if you rent a car, maybe try having a model that's not too big as the alley that leads to the villa is pretty narrow and made us sweat sometimes 🙂

We only came for 4 nights as a short break in October half term. Unfortunately, a lot of the resort had closed down as the season had ended. Charilaos provided maps, menus, details of restaurants and places to go. We just wanted to chill so did not venture far from the villa. We were very lucky with the weather 24 degrees and no rain - just lovely!
Charilaos recommended a food delivery service which was also excellent - so much so we had a different meal the next night from them!
There was everything at the villa that you needed including toiletries, bathroom and pool towels, children's toys and many things in the kitchen such as oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, tea bags, coffee capsules (that were lovely) foil etc etc. Charilaos also left us some honey, mini toasts, jams, wine, water, juice - it was lovely to have all these extras provided.
The villa was spacious - we never felt crowded. There are lots of lovely areas to sit in the sun apart from the pool and one balcony in particular got lots of lovely sun. The only thing was the pool was very cold - not that it stopped my 2 grandchildren from being in it a lot of the day. I was not tempted!!
Charilaos was very keen to ensure we liked the house and our stay - offering us anything else that we may require. He was very kind and welcoming.

We found there was plenty of space for all of us, and really enjoyed eating meals at the dining table together. It's a wonderful home, and Charilao is a friendly and welcoming host.

The location is really nice too, with parking space for two cars right at the house. A third car could probably find street parking relatively easily. There are numerous restaurants nearby as well. We went to Maria's a few time, since they had a fun play space for my son. Just a short walk away there are a few tavernas right on the beach with beach beds you can use.

It's also a short drive to downtown Chania. If you don't have a car, there is a bus stop right down the street as well. We never took the bus, but I'm told its fairly reliable and inexpensive. It was nice being close, but well removed from the downtown hustle.

We loved our stay, and hope to come again!

The venue was very nice - we were offered drinks. Full availability and support is provided by Charilaos, especially useful recommendations for restaurants, beaches or other tips for sightseeing. The next beach is nearby - 10 min walking distance. We were completely satisfied and will for sure consider to come back.

  We travelled as a group of 3 couples staying in seaview gardens for 3 nights at the end of our island hoping trip and the villa was amazing. Exactly how... read more it looks in photos. The host was so helpful and checked in with us a couple of days before the trip to ensure we had transport and to send exact location which was spot on and so easy to find! Its 5 minute downhill walk to the beautiful beach and town of stalos which has a bus costing €1.80 into Chania town which takes about 25minutes. The bus comes every 20minutes and operates until 12am. We didnt want to leave the villa at all to be honest. It had everything you needed appliance wise with supermarkets in walking distance. You dont require a rental car if you want to stay here which is great. It took 30minutes to get to/from the airport. Harilao was a super host and also (Hidden by Airbnb) 'd during our stay to make sure everything was ok and was always at the other end of the phone if we needed anything. Would 100% recommend staying here and we will defo be back again, probably a bit longer next time

As a host, Charrios is always available with an answer to any question. For us, he was flexible and willing to allow us to leave our luggage when we arrived before check in (and before the house cleaners were finished.) Most important, Charios was there for us when an urgent situation developed with the car rental company that we used. He went above and beyond to help us with our problem. We will forever be grateful to this kind and sweet man!

We loved your home. We loved that it was your family home and that you take so much pride in it. We were checked in by your sister who was sweet and charming and we loved that she pointed out the bedroom she grew up in.
The house is beautiful, it’s spotlessly clean and we felt as a family so at home there. It is the most beautiful place I’ve stayed in, the views are amazing down towards the sea and the sunset. I have nothing negative to say about this place. I’ve just had the most perfect family holiday that anyone could wish for. The pool area is amazing, from the bed you can chill out on in the shade to the lovely seating area, to the jacuzzi in the pool, to the comfy sun beds, to the hammock out the back and the bbq area...

There is a beach within walking distance and lots of fantastic restaurants close by. Chariaos was an excellent host, he was very thoughtful and left us some coffee and treats when we arrived and there was everything you could need in the home including pool floats and beach toys. The new swimming pool has a water massage area... read more to one side and a special shallow section for babies, otherwise the depth is 146-170cm which is perfect, not too deep and not too shallow.
This is a family house and not purpose-built holiday home, so you can expect everything including a washing machine with a detergent. There are shower gels, capsules for the nespresso, towels/bathrobes/slippers, coloured towels for the pool, lots of toys for kids and inflatables for the pool, a speaker to play some music and even a little gym downstairs. I personally loved the two terraces overlooking the sea. Harilao is very helpful and makes everybody feel welcome, he is always willing to go the extra mile and can deal with any request. There were seven of us staying over and I would say there was plenty of space for everybody, we were never in each other’s way. The location is a short stroll from the beach where there are also plenty of bars and restaurants.

  Sea View Garden Villa is such a charming place, light and airy inside with very good air conditioning to make it so comfortable when you need respite from the sun.... read more The swimming pool is just perfect it’s big enough to swim and deep enough to have fun in, with the added extra of the whirlpool. The view from its hillside perspective across the bay is stunning. There are so many places to sit and relax, a bbq area and outside dining at the back of the house, a first floor dinning terrace overlooking the pool and bay with the most outstanding sunsets every night and sometimes fireworks from neighbouring hotels give a free show. Upstairs on the top floor there are yet more balconies to sit and relax on. So much space for everyone it really is a home from home.
He villa is situated up a hill just back from the beach but easily walkable and very close to several small supermarkets and many restaurants and bars. There are plenty of restaurant delivery services too with good quality Cretan food delivered to your door, if you feel like dining in and relaxing without cooking yourself. I’ve stayed in many villas before but none that have these facilities, beautiful pool, in such a great location where you can walk everywhere it’s so convenient. I still recommend getting a car to explore the island, you can park at the property behind electric gates. Chania old town is a must and an easy drive from the villa.
Charilaos is an amazing host, so generous with his time and personal touches. I can not recommend this place enough!

Charilaos left a personalized list of favorite restaurants, which we used every day. We also rented a car from his contact, which was super easy and reasonably priced. The sunset from the house is beautiful and picture worthy every night. There is A/C in the bedrooms and in the kitchen. It was very comfortable at all times of the day. And best of all was the host. Charilaos communicated instantly from our first contact until check out, he left wonderful goodies in the kitchen, the house is stocked with anything you can need and he is a very nice person who goes above and beyond as a host. The amazing views to the sea and to the mountains... read more were wonderful, the beds were comfortable, the house was very clean and had a lot of essentials for our baby (bed, linens, towel, bath, shampoo etc) as well as for the older kids (toys, floaties). There was more than enough room inside as well as outside and we enjoyed the totally new pool area a lot. The house is in a great location with many restaurants, beach, shops just a short walk away. Our host was the most friendly and helpful host you could ever wish for. We were met with utmost kindness and hospitality and were really sad to leave. Hopefully we will be able to visit again!

-Friendly and helpful host: Charilaos left complimentary drinks and coffee, and was quick to respond to any and all questions we had

CONS:
-Internet was slow at times (but we generally had 5 or 6 devices hooked up at once and they were all downloading media)

Overall, this place was the perfect place to stay and chill for 4 nights. If we come back to Crete, we will without a doubt stay here again.
